Sara will be joining NYU in January 2026 as a Postdoctoral Researcher. She earned her Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Engineering from Columbia University in 2023. The focus of her thesis was the development of nanoscale materials for sustainable energy applications, including energy storage and electrochemical carbon capture and conversion. Prior to joining NYU, Sara worked at the US Department of Energy’s Office of Carbon Management, leading R&D initiatives focused on decarbonization of the energy and industrial sectors. In her free time, Sara enjoys hiking, running, and reading.
